📖March 2025 Book Club with a Bonus Meet-up💖
Each month after our Meet-ups, I’ll use this private group member space to share any tips, tricks, book recommendations, podcasts, and other thoughts, etc. that we share in the group Meet-up.
If you have anything you want me to add, just shoot me an email and I’ll add it.
I started the meeting by sharing that Mary’s Mom, Tiny Guru, had passed away on March 15.
Mary posted on social media about it, but she also included it in her email.
I recommend that if you aren’t already on Mary’s email list, that you click here to join it.
She only sends 2 emails each month and always shares the most beautiful things!
I also shared that EVERYONE is ALWAYS welcome! Whether you’re caught up in the reading or not, whether you choose to speak/share at all or not, whether you’ve missed a couple meet-ups or been to all of them…EVERYONE IS ALWAYS WELCOME.💞
And, on that note I chose to open the meeting by asking…”what brought you here (to tonight’s meet-up) tonight?” Unbeknownst to me, everyone’s answer ended up being along the same lines of…I didn’t necessarily want to come…but I knew I needed it!
In my opinion, that’s a perfect answer!!
And whether you made it to this particular meet-up or not,
I am always glad when any of you say yes to join the meet-up!!🥰
Thank you! Thank you! Thank you!
As we began discussing the days and which stood out most to us I asked if anyone had read “The Power of Now” by Eckhart Tolle, as referenced on March 2. Sarah referenced having read “Power vs Force” by David Hawkins and the quote (below) by Clemson Football Coach, Dabo Swinney.
I shared a number of days that the original paperback version of the book was different than the hardcover version we are reading. I’ve shared those images/photos of the days below:
I shared that on March 11 the phrase “…a sense of gratitude to everything…” stuck out to me because someone had shared this image (below) and I talked about my Gratitude Tree Meditation which lead us to talk about Mary’s “Worry Tree”.
On this day, too, Mary talked about the book “The Tao of Pooh” which stood out to me, for the first time (despite how many times I’ve read EDS) and while I own the book, and it’s companion “The Te of Piglet”, I’ve never read either of them. They’re below as well for anyone who is interested. I also added another book I have which is “A Walk in the Wood: Meditations on Mindfulness with a Bear Named Pooh”.
Interestingly enough, March 25-27 was Mary’s first time to not “finish her thought” at the end of the page for that day. She talks about “14 Steps to Calm”. On her social media though, she shared this (the other 2 images).
At some point during the discussion, we all got to talking about “To Do Lists” and so I just had to share this funny “To Do List” book I picked up in 2017 (the original version I bought is no longer in print, but this one seems to be pretty close and the funniest part is the title - LOL!)
