📖April 2025 Book Club with a Bonus Meet-up💖

Each month after our Meet-ups, I’ll use this private group member space to share any tips, tricks, book recommendations, podcasts, and other thoughts, etc. that we share in the group Meet-up.
If you have anything you want me to add, just shoot me an email and I’ll add it.

Another wonderful Meet-up! We began the meeting by welcoming each other including a new attendee, Janine! Due to some scheduling conflicts, this was the first meeting she was able to join us and we are so glad that she did!!

I am also so glad that everyone really took to heart what I shared at the last Meet-up in regards to EVERYONE being welcome AT ALL TIMES. Whether we have read every single page or are caught up when we meet, everyone is still always welcome. The community we are building here together is all about GRACE.

Which seemed to be a resounding theme for the month of April. Which is exactly what we all need to remember to allow ourselves, and sometimes others, on a daily basis…GRACE.

A few people were struggling to access these pages, and as I mentioned in the email, if you or anyone else you know from the group is struggling to access these pages please make sure to bring it up the next time we’re together and I will help you navigate to it so you aren’t missing out.

I shared that I returned to my daily Sadhana practice (a daily spiritual or personal practice, often involving elements like yoga, meditation, prayer, or journaling, that is designed to cultivate mindfulness, clarity, and purpose) and I am working on completing 100 Days. Below are some of the songs, prayers and mantras that are part of that practice.

We talked a little bit about the 3 additional books that are mentioned in the April pages, “Anatomy of Spirit”, “Eastern Body Western Mind” and “The Gentle Art of Blessing”.
I also talked about the mention on April 25 of Hygee (pronounced “hue-gah”) is the feeling that comes from nourishing the soul in an unhurried atmosphere. Reading through as many times as I have, this word never stood out to me. However, sometime in the last 6 months this word came into my vocabulary and I have a few books about it in my Amazon Book List that I’m sharing below because I’m super intrigued by this way of living.

The difference for April 18 was in the “In The Heart” section but shared the date at the top for reference.

I shared a number of days that the original paperback version of the book was different than the hardcover version we are reading. I’ve shared those images/photos of the days below (each is clickable to take you to a larger version to make it easier to read):

I shared that on April 2 where it says “Dear Guardian Angel, I’m not trying to overwork you; really I’m not.” that it reminded me of a card my Grandma once sent me. While I don’t currently know where the card is in all my memorabilia I found a cross stitch image of the card. I know it’s hard to read but it says “My Guardian Angel is a little tattered; not as starry-eyed as she used to be. She’s been through quite a bit…watching over me.” I shared that I think my Guardian Angels feel like this a lot!
I also shared what my intention was one day. In the Insight Timer app, a free app I use to track my daily meditations, you’re able to set your intention each day or set it and leave it for as long as you want.
The mediation for April focused on sharing our own light and I found this graphic just the very next day after we met and wanted to share it.
Additionally, I found this little quote that I felt might speak to more than just me.

Our family friend, Mary, who lost her son, that was only 2 weeks younger than myself, in 2002 is one of the most religious people I know and is a devout Catholic. When my Dad talked to her husband he mentioned that Kevin had to have another back surgery. Mary immediately sought this out for us and put it in the mail the same day. I pray it daily in hopes that Kevin finds relief.
